After receiving her Bachelor of Science from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1992, Meaghan moved to Miami, Florida and worked as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist. In 1999 she graduated from Educating Hands School of Massage and became a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist. She created Connective Touch, a private massage practice, and has enjoyed working with a diverse clientele ranging from premature infants to expectant mothers as well as recreational and professional athletes. In addition to her private practice, Meaghan worked at the Spa at the Ritz-Carlton, Key Biscayne and at the renowned Touch Research Institute at the University of Miami.
In 2002, Meaghan traveled to Thailand where she studied and became certified in Nuad Bo Rarn Thai Massage Levels I & II. She is certified by CORE Institute in Tallahassee, Florida as a Sportsmassage Therapist and by the National Council on Strength & Fitness as a Personal Trainer. Meaghan has studied a variety of techniques including Prenatal and Postpartum Massage, Active Isolated Stretching, Manual Lymphatic Drainage and Hydrotherapy & Thermalism. Her diverse training has enabled her to individualize each session to the needs of her clients.
In 2007 Meaghan returned to Virginia and is now working with Barb Boinest, Laura Toth and Kathy Twombly. Meaghan is a runner and triathlete. She loves being able to combine her passions for endurance sports and bodywork. When she’s not working or training, she likes to "give back" by volunteering massage at events such as Ironman USA.
